Montreal’s First Choice is a specialized Brand of Halal products manufactured at Aliments Mello Inc, Montreal, Quebec, Canada under the strict guidelines of the Halal Advisory Group Certification Standards.

Aliment Mello Inc. is reputed to be Montreal’s premier manufacturer of Smoked Meat -Smoked Beef and Delicatessen products since 1960. Under the current family ownership since 1981, many famous smoked Meat – smoked Beef recipes were developed, including custom products utilizing only the finest ingredients, with new and innovative best in class equipment and processes. The Facility is registered with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and certified as per the Global Food Safety Standard BRC (British Retail Consortium) which ensures that the highest expectations for food safety and quality are met continuously.

Our Halal Certified product line is a natural extension of our commitment to continuously improve product quality and services for all customers. The benefits of ritual slaughtering on meat quality is already well documented.

What is Halal?

Halal means “Permissible by Islamic Law” that relates, amongst many other things, to food and beverages and the methods of preparation. The practice of ritual slaughtering according to Islamic requirements is referred to as Zabihah. Our Halal Product line is manufactured exclusively using meat supplied by Halal Certified Slaughtering facilities. In addition, every ingredient and sub-ingredient has been reviewed and certified to be acceptable as per Halal requirements by the Competent Authority Halal Advisory Group.
